More Than Half-Way Done

TOTAL HOURS AWAKE: 39

Not quite two full days, but we are in fact more than half-way done with staying awake for 3 days. We were able to go to Ashley's brother's place and play Wii Sports. That was a great way to have fun while forgetting that we are so tired. He said that he could drop it by later tonight for us to borrow (his Wii and Wii Sports) and that would be awesome.

After that, we had some dinner and then decided to go to Wal Mart to get some cereal, bowls, spoons, and bottled water. That ended up resulting in one wrong turn that led to about 2 hours of wandering around trying to find our way back to the dorm. (As I mention in the video.) So, I guess you can just watch the video...

Off and On Tiredness

Time Left: about 41 hours

We've now had lunch and everything. Yay! Good times. Sarah started getting really tired during lunch... her eyes would just gradually close. Sad day. I guess we'll probably constantly be going through these kind of phases. Then we ran through the snow back to our dorm room, and things were fine. And then I started getting kind of tired... probably not as much as Sarah, but still.

The good news is, we're about to head over to my brother's house, so we'll be able to play the Wii. Good. Times. And we'll be the only ones there, for probably at least a few hours... so, I'm guessing the whole time we're there. But maybe not. Plus, he said that later when he was home, he'd be willing to unplug the Wii and let us borrow it for a while. ^_^ Really really good times. I'm really hoping that it'll help fend off at least a half hour of sleepiness, or something. That, and it'll be tons o' fun. :D

Feeling Good, Indeed

As Ashley said, we're both staying alert and awake much better than last night. You will definitely be able to see the difference in this lovely video:

Also, just FYI, my last post was very difficult to write. I was getting very confused about what to say... but I'll just leave it be. It's funny that way. :P

Into Day Two, and Feeling Good

Well, we made it through the night, and now it's about noon. And we're both doing fantastic. ^_^ Granted, my whole body does feel a bit weak and tired, and occasionally I have a hard time speaking well... though sometimes that happens regardless of how much sleep I've had. :P But other than that, we're just dandy. Having some breakfast and getting out and about is a wonderful trick. :P

So, after we have lunch in about 20 minutes, I'll probably call my brother and hopefully go to his house. We're hoping to play the Wii, like I mentioned, as well as we're hoping he'll so graciously take us to Walmart. Because honestly, I really don't like driving here. Ugh. Not particularly fun. So if he gives us a ride, that'd be really awesome. And if there's any brother that would do that for me, it'd probably be him. Plus, we're crossing our fingers that he'll let us borrow the Wii for a couple of days. That would be so flippin' awesome. I'm not counting on it, but I'm hoping for it. :)

So... tired... again...

I don't get it. I shouldn't be this tired the morning after staying up all night. The next two nights will basically be torture. Ugh.

-Sarah

So... tired...

Yeah, Ashley just barely posted, but I feel inclined to post again. I just made a video basically of me just complaining about how tired I am... go ahead and enjoy.

Almost Back To That Normal Day Feel

It's almost 7 in the morning. Normally by this time, I'm plenty awake. Unless, of course, I'm sleeping. Obviously. So I thought I'd gotten over the really really tired phase, and I'd basically be fine for the rest of the day. But no... even at almost 7, I keep going through little spurts of I feel like I'm going to fall asleep. Bleh. Currently, I'm fine, but I won't be surprised if it happens again... so tired... this night/morning has been surprisingly difficult. I don't even want to think about the next two nights. -_-

I'm just counting on when I "get up" for breakfast and everything... then the rest of the day will be okay. I'm also hoping we can go to my brother's house and play the Wii. That would be good times. So yeah... We've basically made it through one night.

Which reminds me... 24 HOURS DOWN! ;)

-Ashley

An attempt to waken us up

So, we decided to try to wake ourselves up by walking outside where it's really cold and snow-filled. I decided to document this momentous occasion. Yeah, about 30 minutes after the last one. Whatever...

-Sarah

Almost 24 hours

So, it's about 5 AM, so we've been up for a total of 22 hours so far. Only... 50 more to go. Yeah. So, here's another video. I feel significantly more tired than I did 2 hours ago. Yay.

Why did we decide to do this? Yeah, I'll try to stop thinking about it.

-Sarah

The Real Fun is Starting

So, we are only in the first night, of course, but the loopiness is definitely becoming somewhat evident. Here, we even made a video for your viewing pleasure.

Just wait until we've gotten past 48 hours...

-Sarah

The First Night

Well, we're into the first night by a few hours. Things are still going fine... since it's not really a big deal to stay up until about 1 in the morning. ...yeah. We finally got to watch the newest episode of Smallville, and that was really good times.

I know Sarah definitely isn't, but I'm rather bored right now. I know there's lots of things to do... but nothing really sounds like fun. So I'm just trying to find little things to do to help pass the time. *shrug*

I am quite hungry, though... good thing right after dinner we bought food! :P Mmm... so yeah, I definitely look forward to eating my chips and salsa and my pringles... absolutely delicious. I'm just trying to hold off for now, because usually once I start eating them I have a hard time stopping. :P

Still Hangin' In There

TOTAL HOURS AWAKE: 6

Yeah, that's right. We've been awake for a whopping 6 hours, and we're not even tired. Boo-yah.

Okay... yeah. It's not really hard right now. We're still normal people. Just wait until tonight, the craziness will start. We're planning on having a Smallville party. We didn't get to see the new episode yesterday because I had a meeting to go to, so we'll watch the new episode online after I write my Smallville Rambling for last week's episode. Yay! Good times. We'll be able to eat our yummy food. I'll probably end up eating goldfish and nilla wafers... mmm...

Anyhow, not too much craziness so far. I'm just at work not doing what I really need to do. So, I'll go on with that.

-Sarah

It Has Begun

Well, it has officially started. Man, this is going to be a long, very strange feeling weekend. Thank goodness we have Monday off, so we can go to bed extra early that night, maybe take naps... we'll see.

When the alarm went off this morning to get up for school, the only thoughts I had were something like, "This weekend is going to suck so much," "Why on earth are we doing this??" "I love sleep so much..." and "What the heck are we thinking, I won't get to sleep for so long..." ...things like that. But, now that I'm more awake, it's gonna be okay. We'll get through this, and then we'll have our precious sleep again.

So... wish us luck. We'll more than likely need it.

-Ashley

The Day Before

Tomorrow morning at 7:00 AM, it will begin. Ashley and I will stay awake for 72 hours straight. It'll be hard, that's for sure, but I'm still looking forward to it. It's always fun to test your willpower with various things. That, and Ashley and I have been sort of planning this for a while, so we've stocked up on food to snack on. Mmm... so yummy. The first night shouldn't be too difficult, the second night will be hard, but it's still something we've both gone through before. I don't really want to think about how hard it will be the third night. At that point I'll probably have completely lost my mind and be tripping over myself when I try to walk.

So, since that should be hilarious to watch, we're planning on making videos throughout this whole adventure. I don't know if there'll necessarily be a set schedule of updates, but there'll be updates for sure. We'll post videos, and you'll get to see the progression of our madness and tiredness. Yay! Good times.

Tomorrow... the fun begins.
